On the trail of a runaway wolf, wolf guardian Hannah reluctantly visits her grandmother's native Czech village, close to the Austrian border. Hannah's mother lives here and is treated as a social outcast due to her attempts of coming to terms with her traumatic family history. Hannah, too, can no longer escape the hushed-up past. Two young sisters learn to rely on each other to mitigate the stress and anxiety of going back and forth between the homes of their divorced parents. This grounded UCLA thesis film centers around a close sibling relationship, and highlights themes of sisterhood, strength, and mental health while accurately and genuinely representing divorce from a child’s perspective.
